Deciding at the last minute that I shouldn't/couldnt make the Lemon Twigs gig in Leeds.  Ticket sold on twickets for £10.  Train tickets wasted.

Slim - id be interested what you make of their new record.  It's such a gorgeous, life affirming record and will be my favourite if the year...certainly the only new release I can recall listening to over and over.

The Energy Cap has risen, adding around £200 to an average annual energy bill.

So, the more renewables are added to the mix of energy production, the dearer our bills become. We are being conned by this shit. I know it'll be: "War in Iran", "war in Ukraine" etc.

When are we going to see the benefits of 'free' energy? My guess? We won't 🤬

Arrived in Dublin dog tired to find the last leg of my journey home has been delayed. That's it for me, no more wasting time in airports after today. I'm sick of hanging around these places. Also: I hate Aer Lingus.

Absolutely! I woke to the ping of a text detailing the person's excitement at the opener, but respectfully observing the no spoiler law. However, that excitement pointed me towards a logical guess which proved correct within milliseconds of clicking onto Facebook.

There was a woman in my office who had the BBC breaking news notification on her phone. She drove everyone mad. She reminded me of those town cryers from days of yore or those unfortunate folk that had to walk up and down the High St wearing sandwich boards.

No avoiding the setlist now. Might as well just get it over with.

I actually thought they were great overall. I hadn't done an economy class long haul flight since 1987, so I can't really make a meaningful comparison, but - the cabin crew were attentive without being too annoying and they brought free food round at regular intervals.

The Dublin - Birmingham leg is very short of course.

I was really annoyed to be subjected to a two hour delay in Dublin this morning when I'd been up all night. The scheduled aircraft had to be taken out of service due to a fault. I don't know whether Aer Lingus are better or worse than other airlines in that respect.
