Tour de France Femmes routes for the 2027 UK stages have been revealed and no appearance of Col de Serpent. it's just Snake Pass and Winnats Pass is Winnats Pass. Yet we get the Cote de Chunal, Cote de Bradfield and Cote de Jenkin Road.

They have the Snake Pass average gradient wrong too, it's more like 7% than 4.6%. If it were 4.6% I'd head out that way more often.

On the left: 250ml of shave foam, explicitly described as "low price" at £2.60. While on the right, 400ml of exactly the same product, not described as low price, but somehow cheaper than the lesser quantity.

Not really grumpy and it was yesterday, but we'd gone for a weekend break in Durham and I woke in the morning to get a message saying my oldest cousin had died.

Mind, she'd done well to get this far, a Type 1 Diabatic, she'd had to have a Liver transplant, she'd got arthritis and further complications of diabetes led to a leg amputation. Last week her other leg had to be amputated. It was all a bit much for her after that.

Opened the Velux rooflight this morning and it nearly landed on me as one of the fittings had corroded away to nothing. Trying to budget for home maintenance is a non-starter. It's always the least expected event which happens next.

Fortunately a local joiner arrived quickly to carry out an emergency, temporary repair. New window ordered.

Can't complain though. I think the original is 50 years old.
