Charles' "Christmas message" this afternoon was chock full of religious bollocks; embarrassing in 2025. I don't remember his mother going overboard on the sky fairy nonsense in quite the same way.

Poor bastard obviously had it brainwashed into him at a young age and never had the intelligence to overcome it.

I'm going to have to watch it again if it's available as I felt a different, veiled slant was present throughout. The first couple of lines resonated strongly with me due to my persuasion and geographical location. 

Those words wouldn't have gone down well with your average Billy Boy. I wonder if he's contemplating a gentle transition towards Rome. But that wasn't my main take. 

He spoke of unity throughout and my gut sensation on that was more than religious. More political, a place he daren't visit. As I say, I need to revisit the showing, but when detailing religious unity (and I don't give a stuff about anyone's faith or lack of) clips were shown of I think, Bhuddists, Hindus, Jews, maybe others, but I don't remember any Islamic reference. 

I might that have that completely wrong. I will attempt to watch again without that one beer and one red wine influence but I think he might have been trying to get a point across with his hands tied behind his back.

Good luck to him, silver spoon or not. They're outdated, unnecessary representation of times best learned from. He's a bit of an arse who cheated on a beautiful wife for an old hag, but as the Derry Girls once fabulously stated, he's our arse.

Anyway, TV on NYE is utter shite isn't it?  Going to watch a horror film or something instead (something which has become a bit of a tradition).

Nosebleed earlier today. Only the second time in my life and first in over 40 years. Ok now. Probably due to the freezing cold weather. Older bodies just start to crumble.

Wife's sister was rushed to hospital at 9:30 last night feeling ill. Two hours later, she's passed away. No inkling whatever that she was ill. We don't know the cause of death. As far as I know she had no inkling whatever 24 hours ago that she was spending her last day alive. Only 61. A son in his 30s and two teenage daughters.

I'm not upset or anything, I wasn't close to her although I liked her, no grief although of course I'm sad and shocked about it. Can't quite believe it actually. But the universe has no sentimentality or pity whatever.
