I normally watch it for a laugh but last night's was phooking awful. Of all those songs maybe a couple were just slightly above utter shite. It's all too serious now and I don't think I'll ever watch it again.

It's been hijacked, for sure. The thing is, when did the competition decide that gayness was to be an essential element? When I was a kid it was a rather innocent international competition featuring (mainly) crap songwriting.
It seems that the gay community decided to coalesce around certain events, TV programs and Kylie Minogue in order to validate their existence. For good or bad, Eurovision has become such an overt display of 'alternative' lifestyles it has become unwatchable for many. The BBC has, of course, promoted this change as they have been complicit in trying to convince the population that Britain contains just as many gay people as straight and that biology doesn't matter. It has certainly helped foster the social contagion that convinces young people that their unhappiness can be cured by changing their sexuality or gender.
And we are all paying for it.

More very angry rather than grumpy. My sister had a bad fall on some icy stairs last year. She was in bed for days, badly bruised as with excruciating back spasms. The nurse at our doctors' practice prescribed strong painkillers and diazepam muscle relaxant, which made her comfortable enough to sleep. This week she's had a recurrence of the symptoms and is in extreme pain. She phoned the surgery on consecutive mornings, waited in the queue of calls, only to reach a receptionist. A painkiller prescription was issued but she desperately needs the diazepam. Told to phone back again tomorrow and maybe a doctor would call her back. All of today's phone appointments were taken in seventeen minutes. My sister is 62, has worked all her life and hardly ever contacts the surgery. She has horses to look after but no amount of pleading is doing any good. All because they have built hundreds of new homes in the area with no infrastructure in place to deal with the massively increased population. I used to worry about moving to the countryside in case the medical support wasn't very good but I'm beginning to think I've got it all wrong.

Edit: Forgot to mention that last week, all the practice's patients received a text stating diazepam wouldn't be prescribed for anyone who suffers from a fear of flying during this holiday period. Sister hasn't been on a 'plane for about thirty years. Easy to see why the practice can't cope when they're being plagued by folk looking for help to get to Malaga.

Following sending in a stool sample I need to go in for a talk, and a colonoscopy. Having read some misfortunes here I might go for the sedation. Why sit through it when it is not needed, right?

Went in today, yes it takes a month to get this actually done.. sweater, just lovely. Not painless but the reward was the doctor telling me immediately it is not cancer. They did remove a polyp and that is sent in for testing.

For now relieved but really worn out.
