Woken up at 4:45am this morning by a noise from outside, a scrabbling sort of noise, wondered if someone was trying to break in.

Went outside and it was a bloody Magpie using our TV aerial as a Jungle Gym

The bits I've watched of Glasto - how come there are so many bands with up to 12 musicians on stage, often with three on guitar, who make such a small noise?

Nile Rodgers & Chic will be the honourable exception to this tomorrow - they're on after Rod Stewart, so make sure you've woken up in time.

I've managed not to see very much of all of Glasto, thankfully, but the bits I've seen have been very underwhelming. All these much fêted acts getting glowing reviews from the BBC and the Grauniad, but they're all dull.

Jarvis was good, Gary Numan was good. These are nostalgia acts though aren't they? Imagine Glenn Miller or George Formby rocking the Reading Festival in the '70s.

I've never been all that bothered about Neil Young, but I'll always be grateful to him for the fact he spawned that Grace Potter, Joe Satriani live performance of Cortez The Killer. Just amazing.

I thought he was OK. He's no Gary Moore but his soloing has always been s**t. Shame no Southern Man or After the Gold Rush.

I saw him in 2019 and his energy and passion were sensational. Didn't see any of yesterday so no idea how much he's dropped since then but I'm  sure he would be nowhere near the virtually comatose level of Bob Dylan who followed him on that day.

Thought he and the band were great. I've always loved the raw nature of his soloing, to me it adds to the song,  better than a thousand widdly widdly notes in key.

I really like his playing as well, his solo on Like Hurricane is immense.

I love NY but thought it was a snore fest.  Amazed at everyone saying he smashed it.

Father John Misty was brilliant.

Enjoyed the blossoms - never head them before.

This is the stuff from Glastonbury I'll be downloading to watch later, though I did watch Pulp who were pretty good - I never realised they had 12 people in the band:
