Football player and former Dutch team winger Quincy Promes is being extradited to the Netherlands. He was in Dubai, and had played in Russia for years after leaving Ajax when it became apparent he would be indicted for importing a lot or cocaine and, wait for it, stabbing his nephew in the knee at a family event.

Why does this make my day? Well, criminals like this with enough money think they outrun the law so this feels like a comfort. And two weeks ago he asked whether he could come back to the Netherlands and await his appeal case in freedom.
Of course not you idiot, you have been sentenced to 7,5 years imprisonment.

Finally getting what he deserves, no one is above the law.

Sitting in the garden just now listening to the Sex Pistols live at Bellahouston Park. It's 11.1 miles away from my home as the crow flies,  but the air is so still and humid the drums, bass and some vocals are surprisingly clear. Just heard My Way followed by Anarchy In The UK. Regular interruptions courtesy of EasyJet and others at 2000 feet overhead.

Turns out Anarchy was the final song in the setlist. I retreated indoors about halfway through it due to midge attack, but the dogs barked loudly a couple of minutes later so I'm assuming there was a firework finalé.

Sting tonight from 11.1 miles. Haven't recognised any songs as yet. Not quite as loud as the Sex Pistols the other night, but some vocals audible. Another fairly calm night weather wise so sound is carrying quite well. I was hoping the bass would be clearer as I like his playing.

Sting can certainly knock out the odd decent tune I have to say..

Yeah, always liked the Police. Found the similarities with another famous three piece quite interesting. Great drummer and guitarist, and a singing bass player with a high register voice.

He wrote some brilliant songs. What's often forgotten is that The Police was Stewart Copeland's band originally, he wrote their first single and even plays most of the guitar on it. Their first guitar player couldn't quite cut it in the studio.

I love Copeland, he is such a great storyteller and of course drummer extraordinaire.. you can find him on Drumeo as well. The way he talks about Sting always cracks me up (Sting-o) and how they kept on getting in each others hair.

Yes, quite enigmatic. Probably not the kind of person you'd say hello to at an airport. Mind you, I doubt I'd ever bump into him as it'll be VIP lounges for him at the very least. I think that's what makes these individuals interesting to listen to. I like Gene Simmons' interviews. He's such an arrogant git but somehow carries that off so well, to the point it's almost endearing.

Bought a new computer on Friday as well as some music studio bits and pieces. The last two days have been a bit of an enjoyable slog getting the various items to talk to each other, so decided to have a day off today. My limited technical knowledge mind is enjoying the rest.
