Having out first bbq of the year. Sat in the garden on a beautiful sunny day drinking the best beer in the world (Keo).

I'd never heard of Keo beer. Just looked it up and it appears to meet my criteria. Must try to find some.

It's from Cyprus. Morrisons sell it and sometimes on a 3 for ££ deal.

I highly recommend it, especially on a warm/hot day - I had gallons of the stuff on holiday in Paphos last August.

Apparently a child born in 2012 has a 33% chance of living to see 2112. So mine has a fair chance of still being around then.

The 2112 storyline might be quite relevant by that time given  the way the UK is heading. Rock music might be one of the first on the banned list as our culture reshapes.

These two each received a new CR2016 today so I thought a pic was in order. I bought one exactly like the green one in 1997. I sold it about ten years ago, but I missed it so bought this pair from eBay a couple of years later.

It's an uncomfortable feeling setting the year .. watching it flick through from 95 to 25. All those years .. all gone

The local primary school's VE Day commemoration. I must say they've done a fine job educating the kids about this and WWII in general - great to see Union Jack bunting everywhere, a scarecrow scene from the recent village bank holiday festival depicting an air raid shelter and soldiers gathered around another large and prominent U.K. flag at the entrance to the school grounds.

The children and staff were encouraged to dress in the fashion of the 1940s or in red, white and blue; lunch was taken as a communal picnic sitting round tables in the playgrounds to mimic the celebrations marking the end of the war. 

Great stuff.

Taking a trip to Mold to try out a new coffee shop, "Cracked Coffee House" 47 High Street.

Cracking coffee - they do their own roasting. Delighted to find they do filter. Most coffee shops only do espresso based drinks.

Sian had a cappuccino and I had a delicious filter made from freshly ground beans - from Peru.

Oh and a couple of huge croissants between us.

Very busy today as it their opening day and coffee is free.

Recommended if you are in the area.
