A week in Arran and the weather looks bloody great

Yesterday it was my niece's wedding. Lovely day for it.
She's done well, it was a bittersweet occasion as her mum - my sister - died 15 years ago. My niece has since qualified as a Doctor and did a stint working at Sheffield sexual health clinic - apparently she once had to treat the Best Man.

Pity I had to put her in the shade by being much better dressed, but I can't help it. Pity I don't have drinking boots any more, I'm feeling well groggy today.

Forgot that on Tuesday I finally made it Upminster Underground station

It's a Slikk family joke from the time when as kids we were in London with our mum and this was in the days of ticket offices and real tickets on the Underground. She asked for tickets to Westminster but was sold tickets to Upminster because Mr Ticketman couldn't understand her Northern accent

She thought they were a bit expensive for a couple of stops, but of course Upminster is the terminus for the District line. Luckily we got them changed, but, for my dear old mum I finally got to Upminster

My wife and I watched that Stacey Dooley documentary last week about shop lifters. The pandering around these pratts who did some "pinching" was shown in the typical Dooley fashion as they tried to justify their unlawful ways. Annoyed as we both were by this my wife decided to write an email to TV Choice magazine of all places. Today she received an email telling her they are going to publish it in next weeks issue. And get this they want our address to send a cheque - for a whopping £5 (or £10 if it's the star letter) - woohoo.

If you haven't watched this documentary btw, I wouldn't recommend as it'll only infuriate.

I'd never heard of Keo beer. Just looked it up and it appears to meet my criteria. Must try to find some.
