Mrs S had her day made on Sunday when she had her picture taken with Mikko Von Hertzen from the Von Hertzen Brothers. She was acting like a 62 year old going on 16. Mikko was good enough to let me retake it after she'd got her eyes closed on the first one.

Happy that the newspaper I subscribe to online (Dutch NRC), now gives me a years' free access to the New York Times. Full access, online including the app. I like that.

Had a clear out of guitars I'm simply not good enough to own over the last 6 months.
I had a hankering for another semi and dropped on this last night.
£300 with a hard case, got it home string change and a clean / polish and it sounds lovely.

I tried to attach a photo but it's too large.

Very nice. There's a guide to using photos in posts here.

Finished a jigsaw puzzle I started on Christmas Day.

I've done this one once before. It has three phases - first, getting the edge pieces and the pieces with some detail on them in place. That's fun. Then there's a brutal phase when there are about 400 blank pieces left. That's really tedious, and the main reason it took me so long. I took very long breaks from it (weeks sometimes).

Then when you're down to about 150 blank pieces left and it doesn't take hours to find the piece you're looking for, it's fun again.

Years since I've done a jigsaw. Used to have one of Concorde's cockpit. Endless pieces with a little knobs on them. It was fun.

My son's wedding yesterday - a great time had by all. It rained a bit later in the afternoon, but didn't affect things too much. I'm still suffering with a bit of a hangover.  ;D

My mums 80th today. So a nice Italian meal with the family.
Missed the football and cycling but I guess some things are more important.

It was my Dad's 91st on Saturday. We all met up for lunch on the Sunday. Not a cloud in the sky.

I'm much more patient now than when I was younger, but I still don't think I could tackle something like this. I've actually never done a jigsaw. My neighbour lent me a couple between lockdowns. They were the type where you're given a scene and you have to complete the puzzle for what happened next. They remained in the box.
