The second graph is CD 44.1Khz. Therefore cutting off at 22Khz. The first file is longer as it's straight from the concert video and includes some intro stuff.

You are looking at the frequency range. Next step would be to see the dB level, that shows how limited the recording is.

Frequency range can used to determine whether something is (for instance) an MP3 compressed file.

Edit: good that you're asking this. It's really the dynamic range I am interested in seeing.

I can't really determine the difference in the graphs in that case. There seems to be info up to 24khz in the second graph also.
Yes, the dynamic range is far more important when assessing whether a recording is compressed.

You can't, you just see it is a lossless source with no high frequency cutoff

^ Thanks for the heads up Nop. I was tempted to get this on vinyl - I'll skip it then and look for the BR.

I need to recant, at least a little. It might have been my initial disappointment, but the vinyl is not as bad as I thought it was. It's not as dynamic as I'd like it to be, but it's listenable.
Vocals are disorted here and there but I have been reading up and it seems this is the source recording.
Which makes us all wonder: WHY oh why did they not just record 3 shows and picked the best? How can you screw up a recording to this extent in this day and age?

Talk Talk - It's My Life. Decently-priced half speed master copy from Rarewaves. The pressing is not quite as quiet as Spirit Of Eden but pretty good nevertheless.

I have always favoured the Colour of Spring. It is a perfect album to me, maybe even the quintessential transition album with accessible tracks and some preludes on what was to come.

Having said that, Tomorrow Started is one my absolute favourite tracks.

Forgot about this, sorry. I did a quick check between the BR and CD (both FLAC) and whilst the BR is DR of 10 it's much better than the CD with DR6:

It's record Store Day Black Friday. I went out, because I am bored with staying in, and half limped to 3 stores to find:
Jazz Dispensary Series nr (I don't know how many). Lovely serie of albums with 70s jazz funk soul type stuff
Miles Davis - Live at the Plugged Nickel second set (December 23, 1965) - 2LP
Marcus King band - No Room for Blue - companion piece to the recently released Darling Blue album
And the phenomenal Slo Burn EP on 12" vinyl. This is John Garcia (vocalist - Kyuss, Unida, Hermano) at his finest.

Nice morning all in all. The audience is changing a little, no longer exclusively white males over 50, also teenage girls 'needing' the new Billie Eilish EP. Eavesdropping on some of those conversations is pure gold. Was I ever that age? Did I speak like that?

Picked up a couple of nice Judie Tzuke LPs at my local store this morning - Shoot The Moon and I Am The Phoenix.
I suspect they've been in there a while and I think I may have been tempted to buy them a while ago. I'm not sure why today I decided to look in the discount bin but I'm glad I did - £2.50 each.
They've been well looked after, include the lyric inners and sound great!
