Caught up on the Deutschland and Renewi Tours, much more exciting than the Vuelta!

Danny van Poppel "won" in Germany, but got relegated, giving Soren Waerenskjold the win.

Tim Merlier won the bunch sprint in the Renewi Tour.

However, a junior rider competing in the Vuelta Internacional Junior a la Ribera del Duero has died following a crash during Saturday's Stage 2. Not nice news.

That is very sad news indeed. Ivan Melendez was just 17 years old..

Vingegaard just pips Ciccone who thought he'd take it. All the big guns going for it on day 2 already.
More a moral win than anything else.

Bad crash appears not much broken though.

Nickslikk2112

That's what we want, sprint mountains!

Vinegarad pipping Ciccone on the line. Tom Pidcock is not a GC rider.

DNF for Guillaume Martin and I thought it was all over for Axel Zingle.

Was also watching the Toue de l'Avenir with the stage won by Britain's Noah Hobbs.

Nickslikk2112

Another Matt Brennan stage win today :)

And Arnaud de Lie pipped MvdP in the Renewi Tour, all down to bonus seconds on the line.

And Axel Zingle dislocated his shoulder twice, whilst it was being put back in the second time someone ran off with his bike...

A week ago some idiots stole a complete supply of specially made anniversary shirt from Dutch football club NEC. Of course they came back, they were not retailed yet so anyone wearing one would be picked up quickly.

So what are you going to do with 18 completely specially outfitted Cervelo bikes. Besides being a massive tool stealing these, criminals are so stupid.

Clever clever Gaudu 8) Pedersen's teammates will not be happy!

And Vingegaard will remain in the red.

Exciting final few kms! More of this please..

Nickslikk2112

Bloody David Gaudu won that.

Bjorn Koerdt the pluckiest Brit in 9th.

Uphill sprint again though.

dom

Looked like a very technical finish having to navigate that bend while sprinting

Second stage win for the Great Britain Team in the Tour de l'Avenir today with Elliott Rowe. He's on the Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development team.

Thenop

Bennie's crying he is so happy.
Philipsen second who got locked in by his own teammate ???

Nickslikk2112

Crikey! Stage win for Ben Turner, wasn't even meant to be at the Vuelta, got called away from the Renewi Tour with 36 hours notice. Ethan Vernon 4th on hos birthday.

Vingegaard gives up the Maillot Rojo

Nickslikk2112

And Dorian Godon goes to INEOS next year.must be a Total Energies thing. Don't like Dorian, don't like his 'tache - same with Matteo Jorgenson.

Vingegaard giving up the jersey is a clear premeditated move
