Been watching football, but I know MvdP at first wasn't going to do Benidorm, in a last minute spur of the moment thing he decided he was going to go anyway. It is abnormal, he is really the best cyclocross rider ever by now I think.

He will be if he wins his eighth World Championship. Word on the street is if he gets it he'll leave it to everyone else after that.

Good third for Filipe Orts today on home "roads"

Another victory for MvdP despite 2 punctures and a near fall.

Just caught up with MvdP's win, unreal!

Equals's Sven Nys' 50 World Cup wins, should beat that tomorrow. I'm quite a newbie to CX and saw a picture today of Sven Nys when he won his 50th win. On the podium with him? WvA and MvdP!

A win for Puck today too, Lucinda Brand not on the podiun for the first time in two years!

So far today watched the last stage of the Tour Guzunda, stage won by Matt Brennan, overall won by Jay Vine who escaped from a crash with a Kangaroo which took out his team mate Mikkel Bjerg.

Then watched Puck get two from two this weekend in a cracking race at Hoogerheide. Pity there's been such a lack of mud this year.

Surprise, surprise, MvdP wins the GP AvdP

Today GB lost the World Champions title for the Mixed Team Cyclocross relay. No surprise the Netherlands won it, their last three Leonie Bentveld/ Shirin van Anrooij/Tibor del Grosso all we could offer was Cam Mason/Zoe Roche/Oscar Amey. We could have got bronze if Zoe Backstedt hadn't had problems on the opening lap.

Enjoyed it actually each team is made of Junior/U23/Elite Men and Women each does one lap and you can send them out in any order you like. Keeps it interesting.

And Red Bull Remco's hit the road pedalling.

Led Red Bull to a TTT victory in Mallorca yesterday - at nearly 60kmh

Today a solo victory in Trofeo Serra Tramuntana

Lucinda Brand champion, nrs 2 and 3 complete the red, white & blue podium, Puck being third.

Finally got round to watching it. Great race, had it all with crashes and "fights". Six different nations in the top 10 and no Belgians *sniggers* although Marion Norbert Riberolle is a Frog really even if she hadn't been disqualified.

Watched the Junior women earlier and more of them jumped the planks than the élite women.

Anyway, well done old woman Brand and Zoe Backstedt came 7th and she's still an U23 for a couple of years

Oh yeah, Remco won again.

Not even close, the Big 8 is in.

I despise the American import that is GOAT, it tends to refer to whovever is doing the best at the moment, but I think you can say that MvdP is the Greatest Cyclocross rider of all time.

That's 5 out of 7 Golds to the Netherlands at the World Championships.

Matt Richardson beat Harrie Lavreysen in the European Track Championships today. I thought he'd be racing himself for Silver medal.

Well done Plastic Brit.

Was in the news here that Lavreysen lost  ;D him winning is no news anymore apparently.

No talk of the Tour De Provence?

I don't know anything about the competition itself but what a wonderful part of the World to go cycling.  Would be even better in a month's time but still a wonderful place to be
