I couldn't imagine watching this in a cinema as it's just too long, but at home (with a few breaks) it's bearable. 8/10
Uncanny. An afternoon slog for us today too. Waaaaay too long and didn't need to be in my humble opinion.  There were some parts that I thought would have looked quite remarkable on an Imax screen, but seriously I would have needed probably 2 comfort breaks during that.

Just started watching The Boys on Prime.

A world where superheroes are real .. but controlled by a huge corporation, and don't always act with the best intentions. Funny, and dark.

^ The Boys is great, Season 5 has just started too. Antony Starr is brilliant as the mad Homelander (he was also in Banshee - another superb TV show).

There is a spin off show called Gen V too (2 series so far), that's actually cruder and ruder than The Boys lol https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13159924/

Finished off season 2 of ONE PIECE last night. Magnificent TV, the whole thing is just a blast.

The reboot of one of my favourite TV shows - Malcolm in the Middle. I read some reviews on IMDb and most were scathing but I really quite liked it. It was never going to feel exactly like the original but seeing all the old faces was great. My only issue is it felt too rushed. The whole thing is x4 20 odd minutes episodes. If they'd slowed it down a bit and built the story lines up some more it would have made a better run. Anyway, whatever the critics say, I'm glad they did this and fingers crossed they will make some more.

The Running Man is up on Prime. Nice.
I am a sucker for Stephen King based movies. This one is well done, with a decent budget. Of course the original with Ahnold from Auztria will never be surpassed but they did a great - over the top - job. Lots of King references, which makes it fun for geeks like myself.

I liked this new version of The Running Man. King's adaptations really are hit and miss though (Under the Dome an absolute miss). This is a good one, written as Richard Bachman:

I watched the BBC documentary about the discovery of Paul McCartney's long-lost Hofner bass. A really fascinating story, and there's some footage of Lemmy playing in Hawkwind in the early '70s.

If you're wondering what the connection is, have a watch!

I saw the start of that after Newsnight and made a note to watch later on iPlayer.

Started Season 4 of The Witcher. Now with Liam Hemsworth instead of Henry Cavill. I've still no idea what is actually going on as there are so many names and places banded about. Still it's a half decent watch and does look good.
