Portugal are rubbish and Ronaldo is a prick really

He should only be a sub, he drains the team and makes them worse

Haha well done Congo

I feel for the Croatians. The ref had every right to redo the pen, but the encroachment wasn't why Kane didn't score.

A draw will do us here, to be honest although we're winning 3-2 I'm hoping for a draw. I just don't see the Croatians not scoring at least one more.

England were brilliant for the first 15 - 20 minutes of the second half. Wonder whether not taking more advantage of those chances will cost them

Slim

O Mighty England. Victory never in doubt.

Slim

You may know this already but a win and a loss against Panama and Ghana would not guarantee a top half finish in the group:

England will get found out in the quarters or semis.  Croatia didn't look all that.

A very solid start to the campaign with England, at times, looking very good

Chucking it down in Toronto where Ghana and Panama are currently at 0-0. We were lucky with the weather there, got rained on very briefly late one night on the way back from a restaurant. Otherwise, sunny and warm all the time.

Arse.

Was hoping England would get tonked.

Cannot stand endless shots on the BBC news of fat, ugly middle aged men in straining replica shirts throwing beer in the air.

Don't think so this time. Looking at them last night all I could think was who is going to beat them? They look like a team of very large athletes with technical ability to spare, with a coach who can make changes on the fly.

The strength in depth may prove decisive - being able to cope with injuries and tiredness that will inevitably result from having to play another 7 matches between now and 19th July. A good win against Ghana will help, securing qualification and enabling Tuchel to be able to rest players for the 3rd group game against Panama.

Squad management will be key

15 mins til Showtime.
C'mon Orange!

Well that was a bit of a game! Good times. Scoring 5 in one game, nice.
