Was a bit apprehensive about this but it quickly won me over; sounds earthier and punchier...and makes me very keen to hear the rest of Broon's take on the album.

Begs the question, why did they ever bin him?

I agree with that although the caveat here is that, so many times, Geddy and Alex expressed disappointment with the handling of the production.

Yes, if I remember correctly the band rated Henderson very higly as an engineer, but as a producer he apparently was a ditherer and couldn't make firm decisions, which substantially hampered things and greatly exasperated the band.

The big question is: how would it have sounded with their 'chosen' producer?

Yes, indeed it was. Left them in the lurch - bloody flake. He then insulted them in interviews a couple of times. I'm sure he's more than a little surprised at their enduring success.

If I was Lillywhite and it was 1984, I'd have done Simple Minds too.  Business as business and it's Ray Daniel's fault for not having him sign a contract.

Terry Brown Red Lenses mix is the best improvement of the remixes....on my 2nd listen of all the remixes at the moment !!

First listen and the prominent synths on RSA seemed most odd.

Brown makes the drums sound like it's Signals II, which in a way makes sense. But I think it is what they tried getting away from at the time.

All of the gloss is gone, completely. I don't know.

Obviously all the fans are drawn to the TB remix, not heard any comments on the original remix. I really hope we get a Steven Wilson mix on Power Windows, the peak produced Rush album by the master of the craft.
