First episode of Spider-Noir, in black & white.

Absolutely hooked. Stunning cinematography. Nicolas Cage is sublime. His secretary (Karen Rodriguez) however steals every scene she is in. She is brilliant.

Okay, all done with Season 2 of The Four Seasons. The last 2 episodes were an improvement over the previous 4, which isn't saying much really. A surprising last few frames too when David Tennant turned up out of nowhere - odd.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. This remains one of the best Marvel TV adaptations. My only slight criticism is how depressing it makes NY seem - which tbh is probably true. Great action, cast and script. Loving it so far.

Finished Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Absolutely brilliant TV. A super ending as well with a couple of well known faces popping up at the finale. Stunning 10/10

Also a movie: They Will Kill You https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31728330/ A comedy horror. It starts out with a teenage girl with her little sister escaping an abusive father. They become separated,  then suddenly we jump forwards 10 years in time with the older sister arriving at an old Manhattan hotel. A few minutes from that point me and my wife just looked at each and both said 'what the fuck'. This movie is crazy - I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. It runs at 100mph until the last frame and the main actress gives it her absolute all. A couple of well know actors show up too: Patricia Arquette/Tom Felton - but it's the action, energy, comedy and horror that rule this movie. Fun, bonkers, chaotic, blood-soaked mayhem - yep, loved it 9.5/10

The Punisher: One Last Kill  Classed a movie but just under an hour long. It's really a teaser episode for a possible 3rd series. Not a lot to it really: 10 minutes of reflection then some uber violence as our 'hero' dispenses with the scores of attacking baddies for the rest of the show. And violent it is, more so than the normal Hollywood slop and a few shocking moments hit hard. There aren't many lines for Jon Bernthal to learn, obviously, but he really does carry the part of Frank Castle superbly - grunting and huffing his way through the battles. Then it's all over, way too soon. More to come I suppose along with Daredevil and hopefully some Jessica Jones. 8.5/10

Widow's Bay. I'm half way through this new series starring Matthew Rhys about a mayor on an remote island trying to promote it while coming up against the local curses. It's very, very good and is described a Folk Horror/Comedy. I did laugh quite a lot at what I've seen so far. Episode 4 is one of the best pieces of TV I've seen in a while and the twist is massive and comes from nowhere. Brilliant TV.

Just got up to date with 3 series of Professor T and looking forward to series 4 if it ever gets here.

Still got series 3 of Rose & Maloney to watch. Only 3 episodes in this though.

Iron Lung - A movie made by a Youtuber whose day job is streaming gameplay. Mark Fischbach directs, wrote and stars in this oddball scifi/horror. Based on a game - funny old thing.

IMDb says: In a post-apocalyptic future after "The Quiet Rapture" event, a convict explores a blood* ocean on a desolate moon using a submarine called the "Iron Lung" to search for missing stars/planets.

The whole movie (and it's over 2 hours long) takes place in a small submarine with one crew member. I struggled with its length and it all takes place in one cramped space the whole time, which is a stretch for any movie. Actually though the acting is pretty decent and the sense of dread is maintained throughout. There is no what/why/how to the story though, which makes for an unsatisfactory conclusion. 5/10

*Apparently uses the most 'blood' in a movie, ever.

Having watched a The Good Life : Inside Out a documentary fronted by Penelope Keith celebrating 50 years since it first aired, we have now embarked on series 1 of The Good Life. And yes, it is still funny  8).
