The album after that, Tough It Out, is better crafted and much more slickly produced - all killer, no filler.

Yes, it's getting to that time of year again, folks... :)

These lot are great. This album in particular hits my sweet spot. An instrumental with some Camel vibes - the musicianship is stunning.

I thought it might be something to do with Bananas...

Not through choice, but 50 Cent onstage at TRNSMT at the moment. Insane levels of drum & bass polluting the still, Glasgow night air. It's about 10 miles from my home but can be heard indoors.

Dreadful, artificial sounding excuse for music, unbelievably soaked up by the masses worldwide. What will these fans be typing online about these cherished heroes in forty or fifty years? Feel sorry for them actually, except they'll at least still be around.

Having given it my best Victor Meldrew up 'til now, I quite like Love It Or Hate It ft The Game, but I don't think that's on his 2025 setlist.

^ I despair for the yoof of today listening to shite like that. But then, my son and his wife are currently at 2000trees festival. They both put me to shame with the amount of rock/metal they listen to and concerts they see.

Jethro Tull Still Living in the Past 2LP.
Apart from the music, which is brilliant. One of the best collections I know, this remix/master from Steven Wilson is again a work of art. The warmth and depth, it brings it really into this age. I am so glad he doing the entire Tull back catalogue, it makes such a difference.

I know it is sacrilege, but I am really looking forward to the Made in Japan boxset.

Edit: I see now it's just the original 2LP done by Wilson. Great, that saves me some money.
