Marcus King in various incarnations, solo and with his band. What an artist. Stumbled upon his Bonnaroo performance and could not stop watching. Exceptional guitar player and fantastic vocalist.

If you like blues and southern rock, anywhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gov't Mule and the Allmans, this is something you need to hear.

Vandenberg - S/T (1981).
I do not play this one a lot, but it is such a great album. Adje Vandenberg really had a golden touch on this album. Lyrics aside (some of which can be dubbed Dinglish..) they got everything right on this one.
Music, sound (especially the guitars), the one hit Burning Heart. His guitar playing is really exceptional on this one. The Burning Heart solo is iconic, it's one of those you sing along to, it is so melodic. The acoustic intro to Wait is a masterclass in precision. It just hits all the right notes (no pun intended). It is one of the least formulaic 80s albums I know, things are just a little different. Of course it's a debut, zero expectation so they could pull out all stops. Recorded at what ws then Jimmy Page's studio, produced by Stuart Epps I consider this a landmark album in Dutch music history right alongside Golden Earring's Moontan.

The two follow up albums were fun, but could not touch this one.
