And not your house under that lightning bolt thankfully. Reminds me of an evening I saw a bolt like that from my window. I realised it was really close and had a mental guess at the town it might have hit. My guess was out by a couple of miles and a house in the neighbouring town was on the local news as its roof was on fire.

Just read that we had quite the phenomenon over here last night. A grand total of 188.000 (!!) discharges have been counted. I wonder how they calculated that, but that's an aside.

Fence painted then indoors to rehydrate and cool down. Glad I cut the hedge and grass last night.
