First autumn storm has arrived. They say it's quite bad, will do some damage. Called it Benjamin, don't understand, just call it Bibi and everyone will understand it'll be bad.

A blue sky again at last; we've been shrouded in cloud for a couple of weeks. But cold. 4C earlier this morning. Showers this afternoon.

The Picnic Wasp

Absolutely grim in the west of Scotland. Rain bouncing all day with very little daylight.

Grey skies, snow skies. A good 3 cms of snow here. Which is fun for about an hour, then it starts turning into mush, a greyish goo that is cold, filthy and wet and you spread it across the entire house.

See? My spirit is lifted immediately.

It keeps on snowing, there is a good 10 centimeter here. Makes for pretty pictures.

Made for good Cyclocross in Belgium - especially for Dutch riders!

I was out yesterday afternoon and got home at about 6:30pm - there was no sign of snow.

Two hours later I took the dog out for a walk and the village looked like a scene from a Christmas card.

Marvellous. :)

Slim

Had snow coming down in big clumps about 15 minutes ago, stopped now.

The young un's school was closed this morning only because of a local power cut, so as soon as that was resolved at about 10:00am I took her on the short walk there - however, after persistent rain last night the route is treacherously icy, and all the playgrounds have been sealed off.

Slim

Thick snow here in the East Midlands, quite deep. Starting to melt now.
