Quote from: captainkurtz on February 24, 2026, 02:00:39 PMHelsinki for £149, a good seat on Geddy's side.  That'll do. For now, at least.

I'll wave from the floor. ;)

I don't want to be a Debbie downer...but I've just watched Spirit of Radio from the 2015 official release and, Christ almighty, the vocals are terrible.  I had to turn it off as I was scared the wife would walk into the room.  I really really hope Geddy gets some vocal coaching before the tour starts.

I remember hearing the live version of Subdivisions from their last tour. Was loving the intro and then the vocal kicked in.

Painful to listen to. It kinda felt like he was in pain

Slim

Wouldn't be surprised at all if he's lip syncing.

There will be technical aids, yes. No doubt. It'll be similar to Kiss laat time I saw them. Roger Waters has been doing it for ages.

Fishy

Maybe they can draft in a vocalist .. wonder if they'll keep up the pretence of Lifeson doing some "backup" vocals

You start getting back vocalists and it moves further and further away from what we've all become used to.  I'm still looking forward to Helsinki and still hoping to do Manchester...but I think they'll be enough for me...sometimes that initial rush of excitement can make you get carried away...

Fishy

When Bonham died LZ called it a day apart from the gig in the early 2000s. Lee/Lifeson should have the common sense to do the same ...

I can see three black chicks at the back behind Geddy: "Zanadooooooo".

Keyboards, backing vocals, they'll be using a bloody string section next!

Thenop

The keyboard player they hired will do backing vocals / support Geddy, Dom already mentioned it. It'll happen.

In all fairness, we have gotten used to a lot over the years, so I suppose it is a matter of building on that. They can do what they want - doesn't mean we have to like it.

in the que now, 915 waiting and this:
Tickets for this presale have been priced by the Event Organiser from €89.60 to €2600 (including fees). Tickets are subject to availability.

If that means a decent ticket will <150 I am out

Thenop

180 EUR balcony seats, no fkn way.
Cheapest seats: 90 EUR, 2nd tier.
first 'ring' of seats: 180 but the first 3 parts on either sides are taken bybVIP packages for 325 (back) or 550 (front row). I sat in one of those exact seats for Porcupine Tree during the CC tour (where they filmed the shows), first row, 90 EUR.

I am so disappointed. That 180 I will spend elsewhere. Once I am back on my feet I can surely fin 4-5 shows to spend this on.

The Picnic Wasp

As I thought, I'm over the histrionics of my rants from yesterday. It's just this spoilt generation market taking us who knows where. What I'm not over though is the withdrawal of available seats for those who only need one. A ticket instantly going from £300 to more than £450 is just spiteful in the extreme, and I still wouldn't have paid £300.

All I can salvage from this is the hope of a fairer priced, not so good seat somewhere along the line. A year is a long time after all.

Red Lenses

As above, I didn't buy any tickets yesterday due to the insane prices....can afford it but not willing to pay those prices for being nowhere near the front !!
Will wait until nearer the time when unsold tickets no doubt get released.

Plan now is to go and do a few European shows instead, now way will all the German shows sell out.
Was in Koln and Berlin for the Clockwork Angels shows and they were only 2/3rds full at best !!

The Picnic Wasp

Had another quick look on the Glasgow presale. Reasonable seats at just under £215 readily available, but again blocking single ticket purchase. I realise why they do that but it's maddening.
