It's going to be pretty much impossible to avoid set list spoilers given the way my social media algorithms are calibrated. 

Obviously I expect the likes of SOR and Tom Sawyer to be played every night, but I'll be annoyed if there's more "revelatory" additions plastered all over FB etc without warning.

I was beginning to get a bit stressed about the same thing, but with the gig being the best part of a year away for me, I think I'll just accept I'm going to know this setlist inside out by the time they roll into Glasgow.

For R30, I hadn't seen them for so long I was completely obsessional. I didn't listen to a single Rush song for 6 months beforehand. I was in a total state of nerves that day at Wembley, just walking to and fro between the hotel and the arena trying to kill those afternoon hours in glorious sunshine. There was some relief when the merch stands opened outside, then back to the hotel to get changed.

Got in, great seat and thought I was dreaming when a gorgeous young woman in a sparkly catsuit asked if she could squeeze in beside me for a better view. I eagerly accepted her proposal at which point she ushered her boyfriend into the ever decreasing space as well.🙁

Concert was still brilliant, although I was slightly confused as to the goings on during the opening medley. It felt like Geddy was never going to sing.

I'll probably go straight to YouTube tomorrow morning. Changed days!

I won't live as a musical monk until February of next year. Maiden did it right a few years back where they premiered every song they did on social media the moment is started, as of it was a live report.

I paid stupid money for the second night in Glasgow. Great seat but buying it was more like an act of closure than excitement.

I still think a lot of tickets were bought with a mind to exploit folk somewhere down the line. I think many of those attempting this are in for a shock and I expect to pick up a fairly cheap ticket for the first night as the date approaches. Maybe even on the day.

And the 2nd night at Manchester. I did spot an 'in the Gods' ticket at less than £100 recently, but I'm still waiting for the prices to drop. I just can't see them selling out at these inflated prices.

I remember my 2nd Clockwork Angels gig at Sheffield, they did tickets at half price - I think I paid £36 for it, or something like that. In fact, that was the last time I saw them. Cracking gig too.

I suspect that after experiencing that first gig via social media, there will be a lot of people abandoning their principles! Looks like they knocked it out of the park. Although the one element that may get worse as the tour progresses is Geddy's voice. I hope it holds up for all those punters with tickets for shows at the other end of the schedule.

Still persisting with the notion that they are funny though. That excruciating intro video just pads out the showtime IMHO. Obviously Geddy's brother needs to put food on the table but what's wrong with:

I allowed myself a viewing of footage  of (and I know this will sound ridiculous to those here to put it like this) a certain song with certain iconic drum fills; Anika played them and everything else with a beautiful, graceful, emphatic and respectful perfection, to roars of approval from the crowd...must admit I welled up a bit.
