Oh my, worst than I thought then. Dynamic ticketing is part of this as well, chances are that if you look a bit later prices have dropped. This method responds to demand.

Really though, I've never been one to get in early, so if I don't get tickets at a decent price, so be it - I'll buy the blu ray*.

I'm looking forward to forgetting about today and my melodramatic state of mind. I realise I could have bought a ticket and 54 weeks later that money might not seem very significant under the spotlights.

However, and however stupid this may seem, I've lost a bit of respect for the guys. I'm aware they're a corporate entity these days and just doing what Kiss, Oasis et al are doing and setting their great grandchildren up for life, but to me they were that grafting band, constantly touring and playing their hearts out to that loyal band of followers. That band of followers has now been swallowed up into that worldwide fairground that is modern live entertainment and us oldies are insignificant.

Strangely, after a couple of hours I'm not so bothered anymore. That's kind of sad but I'll chalk it up to wisdom. I don't display it very often but it's one of the rare benefits of getting older I suppose.

So, £300 for the seat and £1000 each for Geddy and Alex for a handshake and smile for the camera. I won a meet & greet for the S&A tour. Dreadful experience. Herded into an area military style by their security and a series of orders barked at us making it clear our presence was only just tolerated by the artists. 10 - 15 seconds standing beside Geddy and Alex and then beat it. I found it all a bit demeaning.
