I the Netherlands we have each 6 months an emergency signal test on phones etc. And each month, first Monday we have a sirens test. I know from our dogs, and other dogs, that these are the best days of the month

Yes, I think 15:01 here. Do you think they'd bother to send it if ICBMs were on their way? Probably better if they didn't. All those headless chickens driving to who knows where. Just asked ChatGPT. Interestingly it identified my former place of work as being one. "Rolls-Royce Submarines, Raynesway, Derby (submarine reactor fuel/experimental facilities) — ~20–25 miles NNE. Publicly identified as two UK nuclear-licensed sites on the Raynesway complex. This is almost certainly your nearest high-value target".

However - that would be considered a long-term strategic high value target, it's certainly not an immediate threat to the enemy. Vital to the maintenance of the nuclear sub fleet, but not necessarily over the next couple of days.

One that it identified as a more high priority target is RAF Waddington (~80 km NE), "Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance hub; key to UK/US/NATO situational awareness."

Supposedly it's likely to get a 150kt strike. No direct physical damage here, no thermal injury. Possible low-level fallout a few hours later if the wind's coming from that direction, usually it doesn't.

So I'll just get on with my day then.
