Amazon Firestick

Was at a friends house over the weekend who has firestick that basically can get to a pile of movies/TV series sport etc.. he pays some bloke for the priviledge.. so was looking at how you set it up and jailbreak which looks pretty straightforward but was wondering what are the best sites to get to for the movies/sports etc.. anyone got any idea....i already have a VPN connection setup thru my pfsense so can allow it out over that connection...

At a guess: Stremio or Real Debrid - neither of which I've ever used btw. There are places you can request a IPTV subscription e.g. Techkings.org.

Why not just ask your mate what he uses? Probably got the firestick already configured with some dodgy paid-for IPTV service.

Tried a kodi setup which worked but the menus etc looked awful... and I realised most of the new tv movies content I can get via torrents anyway and stream locally.. an interesting exercise but mostly not required..

The main benefit to these iffy IPTV subs are to watch live sports - like Premier League games live on a Saturday. A guy at my old work paid £12 a month iirc for a sport only sub and he watched the football games live on a Saturday afternoon.

The Kodi builds are crap now. They used to have everything but soon died off as the powers-that-be started coming down on these things. IPTV is harder to stop. 

From my understanding it's easier to just get a Firestick loaded already as it takes effort and maintenance to keep them running well; and the guys selling these things do it all for you - at a cost of course.

Yeah it was more an exercise of whether I could do it for myself or not..so managed that ..whether I actually need one is pretty doubtful ..
