The Picnic Wasp

I haven't bought this edition and probably won't, so this is based on some short predictable excerpts available online. I'm disappointed that the guys are beginning to grate with me a bit these days. It worries me that so many years of total admiration might turn into a bit of resentment if I'm exposed to much more of this conveyor belt of merchandise and indecision about creative projects.

The other side of the coin is Sir Brian. He lost his insanely talented, irreplaceable, majesty of a singer about 34 years ago. But he's now approaching 78, has had numerous serious health concerns and is still touring and creating. Albeit, the new fairy dust sprinkled Queen One isn't to everyone's taste but if Rush did something similar with an earlier (or much later) album or two I'd be delighted. He also regularly speaks directly to the fan base on social media. Short, but interesting and informative snippets and on a regular basis.

Any dialogue with Rush members seem to come with a ticket price of nearly £100. I can't criticise the merchandise. It's atttractive production at the going rate but it does seem a bit like our AVCs to their already swollen pension funds. Probably down to the January blues this rant but I dearly hope 2025 promises something other than beer, mustard, tee shirts and baseball books.

I haven't read it but don't they mean "Neil let our British and European fans down"?  :-\

Yes, that was my thought as well. Still - it's a long time ago now.

Read it in Sainsbury's...they do lay the blame at Neil's door, which we all knew anyway..not sure whether they really needed to explicitly state it.  We all survived them not coming over..and me personally, I'm grateful Peart did all those tours post 2002.

And no one seems to mention the elephant in the room..which is Geddy's voice.
