Donald Byrd - Royal Flush (Blue Note Classic series)
Ry Cooder - Bop Till You Drop, an interesting one. Labeled as the first major label fully digital recorded album. The CD did not exist yet, so only the method of recording (on a 32 track digital 3M machine) was digital, and then transferred via the normal process to LP. Although I see people stating things like "it sounds thin'" I don't hear it. I'd advise them to buy a decent recordplayer, amp and speakers. That might help. Jim Keltner on drums, fantastic. Not Cooder's best album though, but a very nice (and clean! although it's an 1979 original) record.

Dream Theater have rereleased some of their early albums on vinyl. I'm not a big fan but I do like Awake, Images and Words and Metropolis Pt.2 - Scenes From A Memory. So I'll likely get all these and maybe a couple of others. Anyway, Awake is my favourite album of theirs so I got this first on clear:

Went out for some vinyl, got used copies of Ry Cooder's The Long Riders OST and Joe Walsh's There Goes the Neighbourhood.
2 Sam Records releaeses (a French boutique label that does older, usually difficult to obtain Jazz re-releases from the originak master tapes with licensed artwork in high quality):
Bobby Jaspar S/T and Bobby Jaspar Modern Jazz at Club au Saint Germain with the wonderful Sacha Distel on guitar.
Then, Nubya Garcia (a modern day queen of saxophone) 2021's Source, great album.
A fantastic pressing of Ry Cooder's Jazz from the german Speaker's Corner label, and Dr. John's Gris-Gris on the same label.
And then a recent re-issue of Golden Earring's Keeper of the Flame (which was priced remarkable well at 17 EUR).

So that, plus the stroll through my birthplace to visit the three record shops I bought these (Delft) made my day.

Picked up 2 used LPs this afternoon leaving work:
Thin Lizzy's Night Life and Dr. John's In the Right Place, what a fantastic album that is! Using the Meters as band, this must be a catalogue highlight. Fabulous.

Question to my vinyl friends over here:
I have an album I want to purchase off Discogs but the seller is in N-Ireland does not ship internationally from what I understand.  I have messaged him, but have been waiting for a reply that never came.

Would anyone be willing to purchase it for me, have it shipped to themselves and then send to me? I will be paying upfront whatever you need for this of course (and I will be hit with VAT and handling fees upon entering the Netherlands) all at my risk of course.

It's a Golden Earring LP that is quite rare to get over here, but the seller is offering it at 15 pounds which is a steal...

I pre-ordered the new Masters of Reality LP. Saw Goss last year, looking forward to this one.
And Arjen Lucassen's re-issue campaign contintues, this time it's the Human Equation, same outlet so I pre-ordered that as well.
