Must be because the trees whispered his name in his own lingo. But good to see Alain Philippe win once more.

Way to make a negative "spin" of it 😂

Wonder your wording if a Brit had done the same thing.

You did acknowledge his win at least. Kudos for that

Even the commentator - who wanted LouLou - to win wasn't overly keen on his tactics.

I'd be the same with a British rider, some of us still believe in fair(ish) play. What you should do in this situation is keep going to the front for some half-hearted turns :)

Fair enough - I didn't watch the race (or even know it was on) so I'll bow to your judgement

I do nothing but watch cycling and listen to people moaning about transgressions of the unwritten laws of cycling :)

Today's break in the Vuelta was full of riders moaning at those not doing their bit.

The moaners did not win anything yet and ate a big bag of sour grapes. It's day 20 in a grand tour cut each other some slack!

It's Vingegaars's Vuelta. He deserves it after that. I got out of breath just watching it.

Pidcock's got a podium. A Vuelta podium will be the best he can do.

If I were 20 days into a Grand Tour with that to come, I'd be getting pretty tetchy!

Thenop

Well done Vingegaard, well deserved. Happy to see Pidcock get a podium, Jay Vine polka dot nr. 2.
Almeida nr. 2 but there is nothing appealing about his style.

Too bad the protests spoiled some of it, even pulling 1 rider off his bike.  Not doing themselves any favours here..

Anyway fantastic last climb desolate Spanish landscape really suits this grand tour.

Tomorrow MvdP trying his mountainbike skills again.

Oh dear...

Hope he races Cyclocross this Winter. WvA is. I hope Pidcock does too.

Thenop

A disappointing 29th place for MvdP.

Yes. But well done Alan Hatherley.

It's raining, so I have nothing better to do than watch cycling.

Seen Laura Verdonschot win the Hope Supercross in Bradford in Britain's top ranked CX race.

Connor Swift winning the British Gravel Championships - beating cousin Ben

Watched the end of the XCO Mountain Biking

Now for the Men's Hope Supercross

Then watch the End of the Grand Prix de Fourmies

Then the Vuelta

Then finish the day catching up with the GP Cycliste Montréal.

Thenop

I think the Vuelta is done..

Nickslikk2112

Looks like I'm watching Montréal earlier than expected, but then Mrs S wants to watch Antiques Roadshow...

I really don't know what these protesters expect to gain from this.

Thenop

Attention obviously. And they are right to ask attention for a just cause, but when I see them not just blocking the road but being physical with the riders, they cross a line.

There really are no winners here.
