Tom Pidcock's only on his second day of racing for Q36.5 and he's already got a road victory under his belt. Only managed 5 when he was at INEOS.

Hattrick of CX World Championhsips for Fem.

I was rooting for old woman Lucinda, but alas it was not to be.

Gold for Netherlands in the Men's U23 with Tibor de Grosso.

The plucky brits got Gold in the mixed team relay yesterday, think they were the only entrants...

Nickslikk2112

Easy, Easy, MvdPeasy. Good job WvA turned up so there was someone within a minute of Mathieu.

Well done to Zoe Backstedt for retaining her U23 World Title.

Oh my, at the Volta ao Algarve nearly the entire platoon takes a wrong turn, the handful of riders left finish, Ganna first.

Feels like the signaling was off.

Yes, it's been declared a non-race. That's my afternoon wasted.

At least Pog's back winning again.

A slight benefit of not yet being back on the bike post crash - right elbow still a bit sore and after badly breaking it 42 years ago I want to be careful - is the amount of cycling I could watch this week.

Pogi was tearing it up in the UAE today, getting in the break and picking up bonus seconds in the intermediate sprint - as if he needs them - VF Group - Bardiani CSF - Faizanè and VF Group - Bardiani CSF - Faizanè will love him for that. Nasty crash for Simone Consonni - bashed up right elbow - then a couple of nasty looking ones before the end. INEOS suffering because four of their riders crashed outside the 3km limit.

In the Ruta del Sol, Pidcock's doing well at second in GC. Nice jump off a speed bump after he won yesterday. Couple of nasty looking crashes in the race though.

Volta ao Algarve has picked up after Wednesday's farce. Jan Christen leads the GC which means UAE lead all three current tours. Again though marred by crashes. Romain Bardet is out with what looks like a broken collarbone. Then a crash into a concrete wall in the finishing straight.

Surprising win for Waerenskjold! Fantastic for Uno X.

Valliant effort by Tarling trying to get to the break away but he needs to learn to read a race. He went in the wrong moment and was doomed to fail.

Nickslikk2112

Missed it today :( walking round shops in Birmingham.

Tarling's still a young lad  he'll learn and Ineos are attacking more this year

Not Pro cycling, but just logged into my Strava account and noticed that a 16 year old kid who lives up the road from me came 74th in the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne junior race at the weekend. It was in the main bunch, so not too bad for him.

MvdP yesterday: "I want to race, I feel like racing, there's a race tomorrow? Can I still enter?"
Today: wins Le Samyn in a sprint.
He opened his balance.. let's see how many more will follow this year.

Pogi is human! Caught the last 20km only, his injuries look like mine from a few weeks back. I expect he won't have four weeks off though.

Two brits in the top 4!

He made a stupid mistake, the Strade is different than other races. Different tyre pressure, he went into the curve to fast, Pidcock knew and didn't fall. But the inhuman thing is: he caught up 40 secs. easily, and then just left Pidcock behind.

Start of Paris - Nice, a sprinters prey. Well done Tim Merlier, won the same stage 2 years ago..

Nickslikk2112

Two from Two for Merlier.

Finally catching up on some cycling!

Almeida just passing Vingegaard before the finish line. Was a good race even though it was neutralized for 45 mins due to severe weather conditions.

And MvdP was closed in in the Tirenno. Well done Vendrame.
