He came up with the song after the unicycle ride I thought. It was without a saddle - originally the song was to be called Uncomforably numb

MvdP's back in CX. Wish he'd feck back off again!

Well done to Zoe Backstedt for coming second in the women's race. Her best ever World Cup position.

The boy likes cycling, and he likes winning  ;D

Very impressive. Don't think WvA will do for him tomorrow either.
Decent ride from Cam Mason to come in 8th.

Stroll in the park for Fem too and a nice crash by Imogen Woolf.

Just seen MvdP destroy everyone again, for the 4th time in a row, and that included WvA. He left at 4.30, had a minor bicycle issue, fell once and finished well ahead of the rest. I don't see how anyone else than him can win the world title.

Nickslikk2112

Just caught up with yesterday's racing. At least the chasers were a bit closer to MvdP than they have been.

Nice to see Imogen Wolff come third in the women's race. Might have been short on the big names, but you still have to finish.

Nickslikk2112

Well, surprise, surprise, MvdP wins again. Only a 20 second winning margin though. Michael Vantourenhout recovered well to come in 7th, but best of all plucky Brit Thomas Mein came in 6th.

Fem Feminated the women's race and Marianne Vos came in 5th in her first race in two years.

Good to see Puck Pieterse back to winning ways at Koksijde today.

Here's her course recon from yesterday

MvdP strikes again. Even with a broken rib .

Nickslikk2112

Yeah, but it would have been closer if WvA hadn't crashed so much...

Zoe Backstedt was so close to getting her maiden elite World Cup win today. I blamed her last lap bike change, but it was really her slipping out on the off camber section that cost her. Proper sport. Zoe's teeth were still covered in mud in her post race interview  :)

Part of the sport is staying on the bike I suppose..

It's more fun to watch when they come off though :)

I'd love to have a go at CX but I doubt I could ride more than 100m before coming off and I hate running - and getting muddy...

So strong, I cannot see anyone else but MvdP become 8 time world champion next week

I've read Michael Vanthourenhout saying he wants to see a Belgian 1-2-3 next week. He's deluded.

MvdP's a beast, but man of the day is Felipe Orts for jumping the planks.

And Road Cycling's back. Jhonatan Narvaez has won the Tour Guzunda.
