We caught the first episode of Pluribus last night. Brilliant, as Vince Gilligan's output always is. Rhea Seehorn was born for this role. I'm so looking forward to the rest, but limiting myself to only 1 ep a night to savour it.

You have more resolve than I have!  I watched the whole season in three sessions - it gets better and better and you're absolutely right about Rhea Seehorn.

Completed Pluribus. Loved it, a lot. The next season won't air for a while yet though (late 2027) and I've found out it has been planned for 4 seasons - yay. And, most importantly, the ending is known and already worked out so it won't become a meandering mess like Lost or From (and lots of other shows that start with no idea how to complete properly).

My wife and I were thinking what to watch next after the excellent Pluribus and decided (eventually) to try IT: Welcome to Derry. I've read the novel, IT, by Stephen King a long, long time ago and did watch the mini series with Tim Curry - I haven't watched the 2 recent movies though. Tbh the story didn't do much for me so this new series is a bit of a gamble. It starts in 1962, before the time of the novel and from what little I know of the series it's a bunch of kids trying to find out what the creepiness is in their local town - so like Stranger Things I suspected. A quick scan on IMDb and it gets a very respectable 8/10 - which is excellent for a TV show. We decided to try 1 episode to see what it was like before committing to the whole series. All I can say is "wow". The first 10 minutes is extremely horrific and while a group of kids do get involved they are nothing like those in Stranger Things and the last 10 minutes is so unexpected I have no idea where on earth this is going to lead to. Truly, quite shocking and we will definitely watch the rest now.

The White Lotus - Season 1

After enthusiastic recommendations from a number of folk - including some of this parish - I finally got round to watching this.

Unlike some serials that take a couple or so episodes to find a good stride, this is instantly enjoyable and engrossing, so I ended up binging its six episodes over a couple of days.

If I had one criticism, it's that six episodes wasn't enough, and/or the last episode should have been feature-length as the resolutions to the plot strands seemed a little too hurried.  Though in fairness, perhaps limiting contractual obligations played a part in that. 

But overall it's terrific and refreshingly has a satisfying strand of anti-wokeness running through it.

Very much looking forward to working through Season 2 now.
