Foundation, season 2. I did start it way back when but got distracted. So here we go again!

Weapons - The title of this movie doesn't give any clues as to what it's actually about, but about 2 thirds in it will make sense. Basically, a young teacher (Julie Garner) arrives at school one day and finds her whole class, bar one boy, missing. This movie is tight, there isn't a second wasted on filler. I love the way the film is told in chapters too - each following an individual's story and you see the crossovers and different perspectives of the pertinent incidents. Yes, this is a very good movie and speeds along making the 2 hours fly by. The cinematography is brilliant, you are put right in the action: cameras are attached to objects like doors and guns allowing your eyes to follow the images - a lot of effort was certainly put in to raise this above your standard horror. One of the best films this year and I'll watch again some time and for me me that makes it an easy 10/10 flick.

I watched the third and last Mammoth. Really liked it, shame it's ending just as it's hitting its stride.

I read a review earlier somewhere that argued that the joke was wearing thin. I actually think they've found some imaginative and different ways to tell the joke this series. And actually for me, having that same joke coming at you every five minutes - Mammoth being a grossly unreconstructed politically incorrect bloke - is part of the fun. It's like a Fast Show catchphrase, the repetition makes it funny.

Finished the excellent Foundation season 2 last night, and will continue on with season 3 before I return to the world of Fallout.

The Running Man https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14107334/ I have seen the original with Arnold Schwarzenegger of course, but so long ago I have little recollection of it - and I recall it was based on a book by Stephen King (as Richard Bachman). This 2025 version stays close to the novel apparently and it's a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. The action is brilliant and it gets gory at times. It's overlong though and the ending dragged and was a bit weak after the intensity of the first 2/3s of the film. Still, it's good, old mindless fun and a decent way to blow over 2 hours on a Sunday night. I quite liked it overall - 7.5/10

Well I wrapped up Foundation season 3 late last night and holy freakin' frankenfuck I didn't see those events coming. Not the Mule thing but well, everything else.

I was genuinely shocked at the enormity of it all.

I wonder where they go next?

This is what I would call hard core science fiction. And on an epic scale. Highly, highly recommended.

It's rather good isn't it. I had an inkling with The Mule, but the TV show differs from the book (I haven't read the books yet but looked it up afterwards). As for the rest - yeah, wow.

Finally got round to the last two instalments of How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge).

Safe to say this series has been a welcome return to form.

Started the last season of Stranger Things. I caught the first 2 eps last night. Tbh it's all getting a bit dull now.
