Rewatched the entire NYPD Blue series, 12 seasons, 261 eps. Fantastic. It ran from 1993 to 2005. The cast was good, mostly.
Writing top notch, not too much experimenting with camera angela etc, quite straightforward.

It's a snapshot, an interesting one at that. Introduction of mobile phones, computers (one at a time..). 9/11 of course. But in all of that, the show stayed true to its original format. And that's worth a compliment. Even though fictional, it feels rooted in reality. Largely attributed to the New York gritty feel.

Glad I made the effort of watching it in full, it was worth it.

Really brilliant. The characters in common with the original series - Uhura, Kirk, Spock et al - don't look the same as the originals, nor are their personalities quite the same but they do honour the original characters. It's more of a reboot than a prequel really.

I agree. I have seen some seasons and it is very enjoyable. The colouring reminesces, the storylines are good and Pike's hair is phenomenal

Strange New Worlds is the best Trek in ages. I am slowly working my way through season 3 and I mean slowly.

It appears that the writers have had free reign to go totally off the wall with ideas. Never a dull moment.

Just completed the most recent series of Wednesday. Alas, not as good as the first but likely there will be at least one more season to come. 7/10 for season 2.

Series 2 of Twisted Metal. More bonkers car fun in a 'mad max' style post apocalyptic future. It's an adaptation of the Twisted Metal series from Playstation and it really does feel like a game. Anthony Mackie stars and is perfect in this. Lots of crazy car chases, guns, explosions and odd-ball characters - Sweet Tooth, the masked murderous clown who drives an ice cream van is something to behold. The story, for what it is, is totally forgettable but it's the action-packed way of getting through the 'levels' that matters. Switch off your brain and go on a wild ride. 9/10

Started watching WKRP In CIncinnati with the pilot episode. Loved it back in the early '80s. Hasn't lost its charm. I love these old low budget US sitcoms. Might see if I can download Barney Miller as well.

We watched the first two episodes of Two And A Half Men last night - had us chuckling!

Currently watching Dark Wolf on Amazon Prime (a Terminal List origin story). We started Terminal List quite some time ago but got distracted with something and never finished it. We are 4 episodes into Dark Wolf and it is really good. Will do the other one when we've finished this.

I watched the sixth episode of the first series last night. The most imaginative - and dark - Trek I can remember. Really quite jaw-dropping as it unfolds.

We were quite surprised when that turned up - I thought we would have had to wait until January.

That has just shot to the top of our 'schedule'.

Also pleased to see (a niche audience for this one I think) that series 5 of Crash Detectives is coming on October 8th.

Will wait a bit before signing up for a month of Apple TV so that we can watch series 5 of Slow Horses.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue on the BBC. I wasn't expecting much from this but it turned out to be pretty good. It's basically a whodunnit set in a Mexican jungle after a plane crashes and the survivors get picked off one at a time. Much like Agatha Christie there is no way you can work out who it is until the penultimate episode and it's a neat little twist when it happens. A good ending too. Some strange decisions from our victims at times, but I guess it's to keep the story going. I liked it - 8/10
