Over the last couple of days watched S1 Ep1 of Severance, Yellowstone and Landman.

Enjoyed Severance, won't be going back to Yellowstone and Landman completely blew me away. Brilliant! My only concern is can they keep it up?

^ Severance just gets better and better - the writers really thought about this show. I'm just waiting to start Se02 after it's all dropped.

Night Agent as well, somehow I find the main characters somewhat displeasing. Will finish it now that I am 8 eps in..

The first 2 episodes of season 2 of Squid Game. Brilliant, love it.

Got Conclave lined up for tomorrow night.

Kind of a guilty pleasure, but the new series of Death In Paradise kicks off tonight.

If you can work out the end of Conclave while watching it you're a genius. It's a great movie IMO.

Started watching The Apprentice again.

Only 1 episode of Squid Game to go (7 eps season 2). Almost certainly going to be a 3rd season.

Conclave

In many ways quite a remarkable film. I haven't checked, but I guess there are some Oscar nominations due - surely Ralph Fiennes will get a nod for best actor? A completely compelling performance as the Vatican Dean in charge of the Conclave to elect the new Pope.

The recreation of The Vatican I can only assume is spot on - it certainly looks the part. I had assumed whilst watching that it was indeed the Vatican, but filming is not permitted, so most of the interiors were done in studio, although I think that there were also real locations too - like a hotel interior standing in for some of the, I guess, bedroom scenes (no, not that kind of bedroom scene!).

We learned quite a few things watching this - including being shocked at how the 'sisterhood' carry out all the mundane tasks and are treated (to these eyes) like second class citizens.

Unfortunately, the version we watched didn't have subtitles for the Latin / Italian / other languages, so I think in particular one key scene passed us by (towards the end in the 'cinema').

Outstanding.
