Yeah! Oh .. no

By the way Lerxst is playing a 'Greeny' Les Paul. Saw Gary Moore playing the real one once.

Noticed the keyboard player was present but I didn't hear the keys, interestingly. Would have sounded a bit superfluous on that tune. Alex sounds fine, that's good anyway.

I have to admit, that was pretty good. Great drumming - those around the kit tom fills are pure Neil. Not sure what that keyboard player was doing there though (looks like Toto  ;D )
Geddy voice was OK too (brave song choice!)

I enjoyed that, all rather good - even Ged's voice wasn't too bad.

This fanboi is very pleased with that.

As I hoped and anticipated, Anika looks (and sounds) the perfect choice for that drum stool; she's obviously formidably talented but crucially she's also channelling the required "Neil-isms", except she actually smiles while she plays - and I'm sure she can be forgiven for that. :)

That was good! Not a great choice of song for the keyboard player to prove his worth but I suppose he proved how good he is at standing idly by!

Lerxst certainly got the chops..Geddy less of the screeching oh yeahs maybe..
Drummer spot on.. still not shelling out£100sto see them

Just keep it going guys (and gal). I can live with that. Geddy seemed to be doing more body posturing to deliver certain vocal notes. Maybe part of the voice training he talked about, helping the diaphragm along. It'll be a careful song choice I suppose probably focussing on the lower register stuff as a few like last night could get a bit strangulating.

Please use the No 1 Jazz Bass though. Aesthetically more pleasing and familiar to me as his guitar. I didn't like the constant switching on R40 either so I hope he's done with that.

The Picnic Wasp

I see that the author of the Cygnus-X1.Net Facebook group is pulling the plug on the page due to a constant stream of vitriol since the band's Juno performance. Trolling is just disgusting.

R6GYY

I've watched a few of this chap's videos.

Thenop

Don't know this chap but he makes some points, he does drop the ball like many others do:
Mike Portnoy does NOT speak the Rush language. He is a spast behind the drums and would have completely, totally and utterly f*cked up the bands feel. The other 2 'virtuoso's' might be better players than Portnoy, but no one has 'the feel'.

Other than that: why can't he stop waving his hands back and forth toward the camera, very annoying.

Thenop

OK, so I had a bit of a chuckle over this quote from a recent interview:

"When the band ended, we said it's only RUSH with Neil in it," he continued. "Which, of course, is true. RUSH as most people know it. But, you know, over five gigs we will be playing forty RUSH songs. So what the fuck should we call it, IRON MAIDEN?"

The Picnic Wasp

I'm not sure how I feel about the bass Rickenbacker has designed for Geddy for the tour. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Looks like a 1970s album cover

^ Or even an album cover with 70 year olds.

Ah so, Lorne Wheaton (Gump), Neil's old drumtech has come out of retirement to tour with Annika and Rush. Lovely!
