Might have done what 20 year old Matt Brennan did and misread a distance marker - in the Tour Down Under Brennan went with 200m to go, except the sign said 300.

Sexass showed his immaturity today. Tobias Johannessen who was over 5 and a half minutes down on GC was in a breakaway group with three minutes on Sexass, so eventually Sexass decided to try and bridge over on his own Why? Second place Lipowitz was under threat, use him to keep the gap steady or reduced, keep team mates round you just in case there is a mishap on wet roads - and why there weren't any today I don't know, I slid off the settee just watching.

Lipowitz kept second on GC by three seconds.

Pogi had to take a Neutral service bike, managed to get back.
MvdP then punctured on the d'Arenberg, swapped bikes with Philipsen, couldn't clip in the pedals then ran back to his own bike where Tibor del Grosso had swapped his front wheel for MvdP's. MvdP then punctured again.

Now Ganna's punctured after getting back to the the front group. All action.

WvA's had his issues and now MvdP is back to within 20s of Pogi.

As one time Paris-Roubaix 58th place finisher Adam Blythe said: "This is the most nuts race ever!"
