Mother Love Bone's Apple, on vinyl. What an album this is, I have had the CD since it was released in 1990, just after Andrew Wood's passing and I have always cnsidered it a cornerstone of the 90s scene. Not the grunge scene, mind you. Yes the one guitarplayer and bassist went on to form Pearl Jam (a band I consider a classic rock band more than anything else), but this album has nothing, absolute zero to do with grunge.

Wood was singer and performer right out of the 70s playbook, a big gestures type of guy. But one that cold back it up with actual talent and a great voice. Forever a shame he died.

For those interested: the PJ20 documentary paints a good portrait how PJ came about, and acknowledging MLB is a part of that film, in fact it begins with it.

Anyway, it's a classic in my book.

2 great 90s albums
I actually never really connected with Razorblade Suitcase...and still don't. I've given it a couple of chances recently but it just lacks the hooks that were in abundance on Sixteen Stone.
Interestingly, both bands were introduced to me through the soundtrack of an early '90s snowboard video. Had I not bought 'Odd Man Out' I probably would never had known of either band. Bush's Little Things and Starseed by OLP were both standouts on that and compelled me to explore further.
Razorblade Suitcase is very dark and I  listened to it lots when it came out and I was going through a bad patch.
Our Lady Peace are one of my favourite Canadian bands with a string of great albums.

A very lovely Robert Plant sampler that came with October's issue of Mojo Magazine. In fact, it's great. It has even a eclusive track on it. It focuses on Plant's latter day career, the more folky, and world music side. Some Americana. Well worth listening to.
