Always makes me think of a bass guitar audition I had with a band way back when. I was late teens but the band were older and more experienced than me. I played ok but it was at the upper edge of my skill level at the time. I often think if I'd been a bit more confident with the guys that night it might have worked out. I think I was spooked by the guitarist who had been presented with a purple Marshall stack for being best guitarist at some competition or other. I don't know what happened to them.

So, that was their fourth record I believe. I remember when the debut landed it was lauded by the likes of Kerrang! I never got around to listening to anything by them until yesterday. Nothing like Motörhead, much more bluesy but a very solid rock album. Sounds a little like Motley Crue in places mostly due to Dave King's vocals.

Just discovered this (released earlier this year) so thought I would give it a whirl.

One of my big musical regrets is not seeing Rik Emmett live in any shape or form. I can't ever see him coming to the UK and say touring small clubs,  but I can dream, can't I?
