Nothing, sitting in the couch contemplating on what the word retirement means.

guess the money was too much for Tom to turn down.
that or he was green with envy that Kerry was carrying on without him

Bruce Dickinson's Mandrake project. Found it 'somewhere'. Based on his previous solo outings and maiden output, this is exactly what you would expect it sounds like. Less Maiden, no double solos, and more instruments than just guitars. His won version of Eternity Has Failed (IM did a reworking of it, it was his song) sounds very good. Less pumped up, it flows a lot better.
I suppose the guitar tone is the biggest difference.
I like it though, his previous solo albums aren't bad either.

New Judas Priest single sounds like it's 1977 :o

I had a quick listen to the Today is Yesterday album, with Alex 'guesting' on 6 tracks (and Robbie Krieger on some as well). I struggle to label tihs 'progressive', find the music mediocre and a subpar set of vocals completes the picture. Here's how they advertise themselves:

Today Was Yesterday writes adventurous and smart pop-rock spiritually aligned with NIN, Japan and David Sylvian, Genesis and Peter Gabriel, Tears For Fears, Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, and Rush. Its first album features intricate but catchy compositions replete with thrilling virtuosic musical passages, art-rock soundscapes, and meticulous production. Lyrically and conceptually, Today Was Yesterday specialize in the type of metaphorical and poetic lyrics favored by artists such as Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and Rush.

I am sure they aspire to all of this, but a husky voice does not make for a David Sylvian comparison alone. I happen to be quite fond of Sylvian's musical outings and fail to see any resemblence, spiritually (whatever that may mean) or otherwise.

Anyway, moving on, there's plenty of fantastic new music besides this.

Ace Frehley - 10,000 volts. Gonzoid riffs and whacked-out vocals from the spaceman. Fun!

It's a fun album, all of the Spaceman albums are fun. The funniest thing about this one is maybe the media campaign intended or not. We see Youtube videos of Ace buying a new printer, Ace doing grocery shopping, signing autographs. He must be aware he's being filmed, but he just doesn't seem to care.

He is showing off his new girlfriend in the Cherry Medicine video:
