Not registered with the woke Beeb yet, but then he wasn't a one-legged, trans-woman of colour with zero achievements.

This is the first I've heard of this. Probably the only producer I could name in my early teens. Very sad. RIP.

Just read an obituary. Interesting that he was there in Paris when post "Going for the One" Yes disintegrated but returned to produce their 2015 effort "Heaven and Earth"

Sorry to hear that. He used to get abuse in Sounds for overproducing everything he touched. I've never, I must admit, been particularly conscious of his achievements.

Just looking through his discography now though I see that he produced a number of albums I've owned, some of them I've had since the vinyl days.

Including Fire and Water, wouldn't call that overproduced. And Ron Wood's Gimme Some Neck. Of the albums Nick mentions I only have Futurama.
