Quote from: Thenop on July 30, 2026, 06:10:27 PMBought a pair of Mission 700 speakers with stands. Hopefully they'll be here tomorrow. Wanted to try them, as an alternative to my Dali's.
I consider it an upgrade, nbut also a vastly different listeing experience. Pondered on the Wharfedale's but they'd just be more of the same and then some over the Dali's. Plus they need space to fully develop. The Mission ones less so.

Fun fact I discovered: they are both designed by the same engineer: Peter Comeau

Iconic looking speakers - enjoy!

Did you mean unnecessarily?

Last Thursday, Burnham took the Prime Ministerial jet on a 55 minute flight from Stanstead to Glasgow for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games then the following day used it again for a 33 minute flight down to Manchester to introduce the world to "No. 10 in The North".

With blatant hypocrisy like that on display from our leaders, is it any wonder that  the man in the street gives not a shit when lectured on reducing their environmental impact. It's a load of bollocks

I think I meant to type seemingly necessarily, David. Thank you. I'll change that.

Up to 49 Up now. So 2005/6. Some have dropped out though, but I understand they will all be back for 70 Up.

The APC UPS arrived and its all set up. It's all rather boring - it just sits there and does its thing. I only have 2 NAS connected so far as I'll have to wait for these other leads for the other bits and bobs. The Synology NAS are clever in that the one that's connected to the UPs acts as a UPS server in that it will gracefully shutdown the other client Syno NAS when required.
