I've heard on good authority that, for example, he wasn't regarded fondly by colleagues when he "served" in the Falklands, to say the least.
I wonder if there's something about being the "nearly" royal offspring. The younger sibling of the heir to the throne. The "spare".
Harry. Andrew. Margaret. All entitled, self-serving, idle, indulgent and obnoxious.
You might think that Anne bucked that trend, but she wasn't the next in line after Andrew was born and she was only nine.
Yeah the bloke who doesn't sweat.. complete wanker..
Just disestablish the whole sordid lot of them.
I used to be ambivalent about the monarchy but with the way the UK is heading I think I'd rather we hung onto as much of our culture as possible. I'll just need to learn to accept the Act of Settlement is part of that.
Their culture is one of obscene wealth, self-entitlement and privilege for which they don't have to lift a finger - no thanks.

You're surprised?! ;D ;)
Looking around the European Royal families, that Norwegian little prick of a prince, your Andrew, that Belgian moron, and maybe we should not mention the Spanish at all..
Meanwhile our Crown Princess completed her military training and our queen was in the news today. She has enlisted as reservist and started her training as well, at age 54..
Still no fan of Royal houses but we could have done a lot worse.

Andrew has been arrested by Thames Valley Police, apparently on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. And on his birthday too - that's delicious.

Ha,ha! Hope they drag the ginger minger into the station too.
At least he doesn't keep banging on about Mental Health like his nephew.
Maybe Wills should just get out their and band some teenage totty!

Oh, I think the mental health thing is coming!
There's always a suspicion that the rules are different for people in the upper echelons of the establishment but I think it's a no-win situation for the monarchy. If Mountbatten-Windsor is seen to be getting off lightly or getting privileged treatment, even if there's legitimately insufficient evidence to charge him - that will engender huge distrust in the institution. If he does get charged and sentenced, that's obviously an ongoing PR disaster of epic proportions.
Good.
I'd like to see his older half-brother brought in for questioning, to find out how long he's known about the salient points of this.

Half-brother? Can you expand on that?
On the day he gets his state pension too lol - twat.

Mountbatten-Windsor is probably the result of an affair between his mother and Lord Porchester. Lots more info here: https://brinderswakeup.blog/2017/09/11/are-these-prince-andrews-parents/
He just doesn't have the "Prince Philip look" that Charles and Edward do.

Charles looks like his father but Edward less so. Edward and Andrew share similarities in their appearance IMHO.
I wonder how the "I'm unable to sweat" excuse is holding up?
;D
This is going to be very interesting. Clearly his family have thrown him under the bus. It would have been an axe in the past. The police will now have a vast amount of his electronic correspondence which will contain a lot more than just his Epstein links. If AMW is to work any kind of deal for himself here he's going to have to sing like a canary. How far might he go? They are clearly a family with many, many skeletons in innumerable closets.
His other route is to come clean and face the music but we haven't seen much evidence of a backbone to date.
Hopefully this is the tipping point and we can get rid of the whole bloody lot of them

Probably depends on what the situation is between him and Charles. If the deal is he takes his medicine and he'll be looked after later, then they'll survive without much problem.
However, if he has effectively been disowned then it might get very messy.
1st Royal to be arrested since Charles 1st!
Can't wait for the next series of 24 Hours in Police Custody on Ch4 ;D

Yes, well they're half brothers. I think Edward looks a lot like Philip. There's the trademark baldness pattern and the bump in the nose.

Shame. He probably had to cancel the table he'd booked at Pizza Express.
Will he reveal all, stay shtum or even do an Epstein?
First one probably least likely

Hopefully the first and only then let Hillary at him
I think the Royal Family will survive. Charles has wisely chosen to cut him off and provided no support.
Might have been different if he'd chosen to support him
Charles has supported by him keeping all the dirty secrets under wraps for months if not years.
The campaign group Republic is having a field day with all this and that's very satisfying to see; indeed, it was their complaint(s) to the police that, they claim, prompted the arrest in the first place.
And by the way, I'm absolutely nonplussed at just how many of the Royals' bootlicking useful idiots are out there in all forms of the media trying to find some mitigation in all this. It's just bizarre.

Yes had to stop watching Newsnight and Question Time with all these fawning pricks banging on about how distressing this must be for the king and queen etc etc. fuck off they're mired up to their necks in all this as well and who exactly paid the 12£ million and did nobody think to ask what it was for..
Yes, £12 million paid for something AMW never did to someone he never met. Sounds legit. ::)
I could really do without Jonathan Dimbleby's fawning, sycophantic voice turning up on my radio and telly. His brother's an idiot as well.
Got to say, credit where it's due - as much as I think she's exasperatingly tin-eared about almost every issue in modern discourse, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown was terrific on Jeremy Vine's dreadful Channel 5 discussion programme this morning; she unsparingly laid into the whole decrepit institution of the "Royal Family", and not without effusive support via the phone lines too.
Great to see.

Much as I'd hate to see Mountbatten-Windsor to succeed to the throne, removing him from the line of succession is pointless and stupid.
He's not actually in line to the throne. Mathematically, in probability terms, his chances of succeeding to the throne are almost exactly the same as mine. The difference in probability is less than the rounding error on a high-precision scientific calculator.
And even if he did, he'd be forced to abdicate.
It's just a waste of parliamentary time.

You've seen this movie? ;D As an aside it really is a great film.

I did see that about 50 years ago.

A long time ago, yes! Out of curiosity I looked up when I probably saw it. Probably on Jun 23rd, 1977 (https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/f0e92976c0b94074b07f73f4b9eb8c26).
How odd to think that it had been made only 28 years previously.
Coming soon to a museum near you
