Title: ISS Sightings
Post by: Slim on July 09, 2025, 04:01:17 PM
Stunning view of the ISS last night. I installed an ISS notifier app, forgot about it, then last night at about 2330 it pinged a notification to say it was up in the next five minutes!

Ran outside - definitely the best sighting I've ever seen, amazingly bright and clear. Lucky with the weather.

Another one due tonight, a bit further to the south and not so bright at 2235 BST. Better one after midnight when it will actually pass over southern England. 0011 BST.

Timings may vary slightly by your actual location.

Good one at 2235. Came into view over the north-western tip of Spain, blinked out over Poland. Not that bright but very clear. Will probably stay up for the 0011 serving.

Much brighter, much higher in the sky (over southern England). Very clear.

Saw it just before 1am. Very bright. Incredible, but difficult to absorb and take in what and where it actually is, and that humans are living there. How can a species so amazing, also be so dumb?
