Was watching a recent interview with Reiner and he mentioned that in the preview screenings they had done both with audiences who knew the original and others that hadn't the new film had gone down very well..

Oh dear.. it's not very good tbh..some pretty lame jokes.. beating old jokes to death.. and wtf Elton and Macca added to it is questionable.. I must have watched the original a ton of times.. this one never again

Not going to watch this, original is excellent but I just don't see how anybody thought this could be a winner. Maybe its symptomatic of the current film industry.
