I caught this at a Cineworld yesterday, having been tempted to go with the offer of a free drink and popcorn.
It was a bit of a struggle to find something to watch amongst all the children's films on offer, but I found
September 5 and watched the trailer and was intrigued by the concept.
This films covers the events of the Munich Olympics hostage taking which of course has been done before, but the difference here is that it is the story of how the news was gathered and portrayed by the in-situ ABC sports news team.
It was a delight to discover that the film is only 95 minutes long. Quite refreshing and bucking the trend of seemingly longer and longer films these days.
A terrific ensemble cast (most of who were new to me) carry this film, and I'm so pleased I went to see it. And technically I think it is quite a marvel.
Most of the action takes place in the news room / editing suite and so on, with very few exterior shots - unless they were shown through news items on TV screens, or from live feeds from cameras around the Olympic village.
Well worth a watch. The more I think about it, the better it becomes. A real gem.

Amazing how something the Americans had nothing to with, they still manage to make something out of. Not criticizing, just saying.
Seen the trailer as well, is the imagery actually made like it's the 70s in the theatre as well?
