Flying back from Portugal today I noticed there was no row 13.. we were in 12.. I've been flying for years and can honestly say I've never noticed this before.. is this a thing with all airlines?? Wouldn't bother me to have a seat in row 13 I have to say.. funny how a number seems to take on more importance than it actually is..?
Interesting, I'd never noticed that. Some tall buildings don't have a 13th floor. In some Asian countries, the 4th floor is omitted.
Some streets near me have a no 13 and some don't.. it's all very odd

Most American hotels (and indeed tall buildings) omit floor and rooms 13. There's usually a cleaners closet or something on the spot where it should.be.
Cyclists wear the number upside down on their jerseys, professional sports people are notoriously superstitious.
Personally it doesn't bother me at all.
I mean it's really stupid.. certain rows on planes or floors on buildings will inevitably be the 13th.. just because they are designated or signed as 14th or whatever doesn't change that fact.. so people sitting / living on row/ floor 14 are on the 13th...
If 13 is such a nasty number why have a 13th of whatever month.. but then the above still applies.. it's just nonsense
