These DIY '50s style AI videos seem to have come on leaps and bounds over the last few months - previously you'd get a couple of seconds of glitchy animation but now you get proper 3D aware movement and perspective changes.
It's only a matter of time before entire movies get made out of AI. Give them a script, get a first video draft, tell the AI what you want to tweak or change, rinse, repeat, feature film.
And now - you can get audio and dialogue. This is example material from a model called Veo3.
OK this is next level. This whole video was created by a single person. A guy with a YouTube channel. This was a "weekend passion project". None of the people or objects in it are real.
Proper game changer. Pretty soon we'll see TV dramas and films made by AI. The sets, the actors, the audio, the scenery, the props - none of it real.
I find this really unsettling.

Amazing stuff, but equally so annoying when I'm sweating buckets at the prospect of just buying a computer this week. Why am I so bad at something I find so fascinating. Latest fear is learning that my previous recordings probably won't work when I update Logic. I watched YouTube help videos allegedly making it easy. Just a few dozen boxes ticked and that's that. Simples!😂

I love that last one especially. From the thousands of hours of video material its been trained on, it's come to understand that people rock gently with the motion of cars. And that the scenery outside has motion, whereas the interior doesn't.

Isn't that a couple of the easiest things to 'learn' about that situation. I'm quite surprised you're impressed with that in 2025, tbh :-\

Isn't the 'Rush' supposed to be 'exploding outwards? Can we see the image with the background going backwards? I'd have thought that might be more 'correct' :-\

I watched an extremely convincing video including AI versions of Andy Burnham and Gemma Collins, kindly posted by David.
What's AI video going to be like in ten years' time? The likes of Tom Hanks and Cate Blanchett aren't even going to have to turn up for work.
They'll just get an email from Warner Brothers saying "we're going to make a Tom Hanks film, we'll send you the script once the AI has written it, and we've read it, can you sign it off? It's about an ordinary, moral man under pressure in a difficult situation, same as all your other films. Harrison Ford said no".
And Warner or Netflix or whoever will just pay them to licence their likenesses and the AI will knock out the film in three minutes. They'll review it and suggest some changes to the AI, the AI will make some counter-suggestions. Perhaps the AI will say "You know what? Matt Damon would be better than Tom Hanks for this and he's probably cheaper, have a look" and kick out a draft scene with Matt in the role instead.
Imagine what Warner Brothers or Paramount could do in ten years' time, compared to a YouTube channel.
Then the next step will be that the film studios don't really want to be paying established names for their likenesses, so they'll create their own. They'll give them a personality. Maybe they'll even appear on talk shows.
