Probably a bit of an unsung hero, kept Motörhead going well after everyone thought it would end with Fast Eddie leaving.
This was in heavy rotation when the videoclip was a thing. Seen it so many times, and it is such a great song. More or less Phil's debut into the mainstream
He joined at the same time as Wurzel, didn't he? Also sadly no longer with us. Not that many Motorhead alumni are still alive.

The only one still active is Mikkey Dee, rightfully so. He is a fantastic drummer. He is also the youngest, though only 2 years younger than Phil was.. Dee is very active and touring the world with The Scorpions.
Can't say I'm familiar with anything post Orgasmatron in 1986, but it has been nice to read all the eulogies, by all accounts an absolute gentlemen with a great sense of humour, loved by everyone who came into his orbit.
Reading all those eulogies...it's not how many records you've sold, or how much cash you've got or how big your house is. It's how you behave with other people and kindness and generosity that matters and what's remembered.
