Title: Tennis
Post by: Fishy on January 30, 2026, 04:34:29 PM
The 38-year-old Djokovic will have his latest shot at a record 25th major triumph - the sole unfulfilled ambition of his illustrious career - after the Serb came from behind to beat two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner 3-6 6-3 4-6 6-4 6-4 at 01:30 local time.

Unfortunate.. hopefully Alcaraz will kick his dirty unvaccinated sorry ass

That's one thing Novak would never need to be vaccinated against.

Listening to the final. Don't think Djokovic can win now, fortunately. If he manages to win this fourth set, he'll be too old and knackered to stand a chance in the fifth.

Interesting tactic, he's been taking chances for point winners that he normally wouldn't to try and keep the rallies short.

Obviously it would have been unbearable for you if the 22-year old had been beaten by the 38-year old  ;D
Alcaraz is the future but Novak is still the 🐐  ;)

He may be the most technically successful player so far but greatness has eluded him, sadly.

I think it takes good character - something Novak doesn't have.

At 39, Novak Djokovic has just become the oldest Wimbledon semi-finalist in 50 years, beating the third seed in the longest ever Wimbledon quarter final. His opponent was 14 years his junior.
The GOAT continues to build on his legacy.

Shame he's already left a filthy, indelible stain on it then.

Unbelievable performance by wildcard Arthur Fery to secure a semi-final place. He played some incredible tennis to beat 9th seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets.
Plays under the GB banner but could be a Frenchman but when it comes to tennis, we'll take what we can get  ;D
Now needs to despatch 2nd seed Alexander Zverev to make the final.

French tennis has been in the doldrums recently but you can have him and his coach!  Fair swap for Michael Olise 😁
